How My Tuition Works
Engaging Online Lessons
Lessons are delivered entirely by me over Zoom, allowing your child to learn from the comfort of home. Sessions are normally 60 minutes long and highly interactive. I make full use of digital tools like a collaborative real-time whiteboard alongside engaging online games and interactive activities that work especially well with younger learners.
To support their learning between sessions, each child receives their own physical books (such as trusted CGP workbooks) purchased by me, alongside a dedicated digital folder to house their resources and track what we’ve covered.

Curriculum-Aligned & Adaptive Teaching
My primary teaching aligns with the National Curriculum, ensuring that what we cover supports and enhances your child's schoolwork. For 11+ preparation, I comprehensively cover the specific topics and question types tailored to whichever exam format your target school uses - whether that is a standardised board (GL Assessment or CEM) or custom, school-set papers for local independent schools
Rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all scheme, I continually assess progress to adapt to your child:
Closing specific gaps and targeting problem areas
Consolidating shaky foundations to build confidence
Moving on quickly from concepts your child has already mastered
Small Groups That Work (Max 4 Children)
I offer both one-to-one and small-group tuition. My groups are strictly limited to four children - significantly smaller than most commercial tutoring providers.
Research shows that once a study group grows past four students, individual attention drops and it begins to feel like a crowded classroom. By keeping my groups intentionally small, I ensure your child never gets left behind. I can instantly notice when a student is stuck and adapt the pace, rather than rushing ahead to keep a large session on schedule.
Meaningful Homework & Communication
Homework is carefully set and checked in my own time. This heavily informs my lesson planning so that our live class time goes entirely on teaching new or difficult concepts, rather than reviewing what they can already do independently.
You will receive a written update from me after every single lesson. If a question pops up between sessions, I am always just a message or a phone call away. I take the time to build a genuine rapport with each child - working at their unique pace - and I see a strong relationship with you, the parent, as a vital part of that team.
